In the finals of the women’s 500-meter race at the ISU World Cup competition in Salt Lake City, Kim Boutin’s time of 43.095 was fast enough to beat out the competition from Natalia Maliszewska and Kristen Santos-Griswold. Maliszewska of Poland completed the race in a time of 43.145, which was 0.025 seconds faster than the time that Kristen Santos-Griswold of the United States achieved, which was good for third place.
Kim Boutin, who has won four medals at the Olympic Games, triumphed in the finals of the women’s 500-meter race at the ISU World Cup event held in Salt Lake City.
Natalia Maliszewska, who won the silver medal at the 2018 World Championship, gave the Canadian athlete, who is 27 years old and a star in her own right, a run for her money by finishing in a time of 43.095.
Maliszewska of Poland completed the race in 43.145, which was 0.025 seconds faster than Kristen Santos-Griswold of the United States, who placed third with a time of 43.170.
Gilli Kim’s victory in the women’s 1500-meter race capped off a successful day for South Korean skaters. She came in first place.
She finished in second place with a time of 2:26.530, while her countryman Choi Min-jeong, who has won three Olympic gold medals, came in third with a time of 2:26.899.
Anna Seidel of Germany came in second with a time of 2:26.743 and rounded out the podium.
Brandon Kim of the United States of America won the men’s 500-meter race with a time of 40.647 seconds, earning him the gold medal.
Final B was contested by all three athletes who ended up on the podium, and Yong Jin Lim of South Korea finished in second place with a score of 40.741.

Denis Nikisha’s time of 40.766 seconds earned him third place.
Jens van ‘t Wout, a young talent from the Netherlands, won the men’s 1500-meter race with a time of 2:11.909 seconds.
The 21-year-old finished first, beating out Park Ji-won of South Korea, who won the gold medal in the 2019 World Championship.
His finish time of 2:12.204 was sufficient to fight off the challenge posed by Reinis Brzi, who finished in third place with a time of 2:12.219.
